How To Create Successful Habits

Learning how to create successful habits is imperative if you are going to succeed in the long run, in business or in life. Everyone has habits that over the years they have formed, which essentially set the groundwork for the person you will become. Now these habits are not always positive habits that push you in the direction of what you want to achieve. Some are completely destructive and can prevent you from living a successful and prosperous life, others may not really make much of a difference, and then others are very positive and allow you to keep on improving as a person.

Now it is not a quick thing to do, forming a positive habit, they are formed through consciously making the effort to do something every single day for many weeks, months and sometimes even years, until you begin to start doing them without thinking about it. Your subconscious mind takes control and this is when you know that you have successfully made it a habit.

You can also break bad habits too and one of the best ways to do this is changing the person you believe yourself to be. You consciously make an effort to change your self-image by no longer seeing yourself as the person who smokes or the person who drinks or the person who is lazy and never exercises. You begin to think every day about the person you have decided to be and get that clear in your mind. You begin to hold yourself as that person and if you ever speak about yourself, you always refer to yourself as that new person with better habits.

So you know that habits form the person you become, I now want to take some time to go through 3 habits that I have applied in my life to great effect and I feel have benefited me massively in improving my self-image, self-confidence, health and given me personal power to go after all of the my goals.

Walk/Run Every Day

This is such a simple practice that you can initiate immediately in your daily routine and if you can form a habit of doing this every day, then you are well on the way to becoming far more healthy in the long term, lowering the risks of common diseases and also giving you far more energy during the day. This will make you much more effective in your life, your business, whatever it is you choose to put your efforts into. It's just a bonus that you will also look very aesthetically pleasing if that get into this, I mean come on, how bad does that sound?

Healthy Home Cooked Meals

Now I am not doing to go deep into detail about this one as there is a lot to cover when it comes down to it, but what I want to say with this is that healthy eating can be made far easier with preparation, so cooking your meals the day before and having them ready to go the next day is a great way to ensure you know what it is going into your food and leading a far more healthy lifestyle with far less processed foods.

Visualize The Person You Want To Be

Put yourself in the shoes of the person that you want to become. See yourself as the person who reaches all their goals, has the life you want and do it in vivid detail. You need to train your own mind to believe that you are already this person, then your subconscious mind will always be looking at ways to make it happen. So there are some great habits to form on a daily basis. Eventually you will realize the amazing potential in creating some simple habits on a daily basis and learning how to create successful habits isn't that hard after all.

Want REAL Success? 8 Proven Success Strategies.

There are 8 proven strategies to success that highly successful people have always used to overcome obstacles to their goals.

1. Get Aligned
It's important to first clearly define exactly what you are truly passionate about -- then find a way to become successful at that passion. Only passion stirs up the kind of energy you'll need when you hit those inevitable bumps in the road. An important proven effective success strategy is to set passionate goals!

2. Focus on Your Priorities
Many folks try to fit their dreams into their life -- complaining there are not enough hours in the day to make it happen. If you want your dream to become a reality, make it a priority. Otherwise it will never be more than a pipe dream, and you're just setting yourself up for disappointment.

Making something important happen in your life requires more than just a goal -- it requires a REAL plan of action to get you on target! Create a realistic goal plan that fits the reality of your life.

3. Don't Force It
Don't try to force something that isn't happening. Go for the type of inspired, joyful action that comes along with pursuing a goal in true alignment with your dreams. This causes things to flow along easily and without energy-consuming "effort."

Contrast this to forcing yourself to take an action you really don't want to take. Most likely this will take you twice as long, and you'll bump up against obstacles.

Whenever possible swim with the current ... not against it. And stick to your goal plan to success.

4. Manage your Stress
Stress throws us off balance and into an older, less productive portion of our brain. It prepares you to fight or run. But it does not prepare you to successfully achieve a goal (unless that goal is to escape a tiger.)

5. Build your Strengths
Success comes easier and more quickly when you focus on your strengths, and delegate in those areas where you are less capable. Your natural talents are those things you do so easily and naturally. They contain the seeds of your greatest potential accomplishments.

It's very important to identify and work on your natural talents and abilities. This is where self knowledge pays off in big dollars and accomplishments. And don't forget to also your build your mind power!

6. Disarm Your Inner Saboteur
Fear of failure is the biggest internal fear most people will ever have to face. It is why so many ideas never get beyond the idea stage -- and why most new projects are started, but never finished.

It's okay to have these feelings, but it is important to identify them for what they are.

Most fears of failure go all the way back to childhood, and are not even accurate for who you are today. Drag them up into the daylight, and take serious action to face them head on.

7. Develop ResilienceThe truth is, you will have setbacks along the way. This is inevitable. The sooner you accept that, the better. Often if you look closely, you will find these setbacks are directly related to your innermost thoughts, fears and beliefs. This is because we create what we focus on, including those things we don't want.

Don't get stopped by these bumps in the road. Learn from them. As you work through them you will become the person you need to be to create your dreams. And along the way, be sure to refine your stress management skills. This is an essential key to resilience!

8. Use the Power of VisualizationThe muscles we use to physically take action in our lives begins in the mind. That is why all great golfers, tennis players, basketball players, dancers, etc. visualize themselves performing successfully.

Starting a New Business - Overcoming Negative Self-Talk

Did you ever hear the saying 'there is nothing to fear except fear itself'? Think about that for a minute - it seems to say fear creates itself and really has no basis - there is nothing to actually fear.

The same thing could be said about thoughts of doubt or skepticism. For whatever reason, there is a lot of low self-esteem going around. It can be the result of having harsh criticism from others, or of never being able to please our 'authority figures'. They mean well, supposedly, and just want you to do your best.

However it appears your best is never good enough for them because they wrongly think that by telling you to always 'aim higher', or pitting you against someone who is more proficient to compete with them, that this will somehow compel you to be their champion! An "A" is not even good enough - 'see if you can't try harder and get an "A+" next time'; 'See how well Molly does that? Maybe she could give you some pointers'; 'Don't you want to be like Jack? Look at those trophies he has!'

The problem is two-fold - everybody is different, with different talents and gifts - and we don't all have the same interests. They say you do best what you like to do - so if whatever you are doing is 'not your cup of tea' you will likely not do as well as someone who breathes, eats and sleeps whatever it is. That doesn't mean you are less of a person or in some way inferior at all - it just means you are different.

Whether it is sub-conscious or conscious, you hear all that negative self-talk.

You just need to 'deprogram' yourself from believing negative things about yourself.

Make an effort to think of something you do well and that you enjoy, whenever you hear 'you can't do this' or 'you could have done that better', or 'so and so does it better than you do'.... and even if you can't think of something you are proud of and that makes you feel good about yourself, then think about something pleasant that you enjoy - a memorable day you had at the beach - or even the beach itself - what you love about it - the smell, the sound, the colors, the warm sun.

Just immerse yourself in it and replace the negative thoughts with something that makes you feel happy.

This is particularly relevant to starting a new business because most of the people you know that are not involved, will try to discourage you - again for whatever reason, they will try to make you skeptical - 'are you kidding'? 'That sounds like a rip off'; 'Oh, it sounds like a scam'; 'good luck buddy, I would never buy anything online'; 'I know somebody that lost it all on a game like that'; 'You probably don't have the experience to do that'; 'People are far ahead of you and you will never catch up'.

To reinforce this negativity, you likely will not see any tangible results at first - starting a business is not like starting a new job, where even though you don't know what you are doing or where you are going they still pay you while you are learning. When you are brave enough and creative enough to try to start something of your own, you are not paid and you are spending long hours learning and trying new things; and frankly many of the things you try will not work - at first or even at all. This just means find another way, it doesn't mean 'I told you, you couldn't do this'.

You have to be able to tell yourself 'it is ok'- 'I will learn', 'I will catch up', 'I will do it right' - and you will have the faith in yourself to keep plugging away until you can see the results of your actions. It may not be today or tomorrow but if you are consistent and really determined, there is nothing that can stop you. Good job!

Find out Three Strategies For Creating More Success

There are a many reasons why developing a successful psychology is important. By establishing this sort of thinking you will gain greater control over your immediate and future business success. It will also allow you to avoid losing control of your business endeavors due to faulty thinking and execution.

Finally, it will allow you to gain a greater sense of enjoyment in your business results.

In the rest of this article we will look at three strategies you can immediately employ to develop a greater capacity for business success.

These strategies include finding a mentor, modeling a successful person and self evaluation.

Read:Thinking, Fast and Slow

Business Success Strategy #1 - Finding A Mentor

Wikipedia defines a mentor as

"To advise or train (someone)."

So the main intent of this concept is to find someone that has the necessary knowledge and know-how to advice and train you on developing your business. If you talk to successful business people, you'll often hear they had a mentor.

This strategy works because an appropriate mentor has gained the necessary experience, knowledge and expertise through hands-on application. They can effectively shorten your learning curve by giving you expert feedback to allow you to quickly learn the things you need to master.

Business Success Strategy #2 - Modeling A Successful Person

Wikipedia defines modelling as

"the act of imitating the behavior of some situation or some process by means of something suitably analogous (especially for the purpose of study or personnel training)"
The first step is to find someone who has achieved the success you are looking to achieve. Then the modelling part comes in when finding out what they habitually do and think about. It's really no mistake that they have done so well for themselves. In most cases, a foundation is never laid by those that find success through luck. Others that are so-called lucky individuals are only successful because of what they have done.

Business Success Strategy #3 - Self Evaluation Dictionary.com defines "self evaluation" as follows:
"an act or instance of evaluating or appraising self." People that succeed always recommend knowing your weaknesses, and your success levels as well. Believe it or not, it's not as easy to do as it would seem since your ego will certainly get in your way. It's all about becoming self-aware, looking at yourself as you truly appear.

Typically, the common person does not look at themselves in the mirror in a realistic manner, even though they know they are not perfect. If you are challenged in this area, then it's something you can overcome with effort. You can use the knowledge about yourself (your two aspects) to improve areas of your life and also any business endeavors that you may have.

Anytime you see something that is a real, or very potentially real, opportunity that you can go for - then take action on it. While having a sensible idea of what your abilities are is a good idea, those how have a real business mind aren't going to waste any time at all. When you decide to pull the trigger on things just do it; don't sit around and wait to see what will happen. This one thing is something that marks a huge difference between the successful and those who never quite seem to be successful.

There are all sorts of reasons that regular people do not take action quickly; perhaps it is due to a lack of confidence, fear, etc. Worrying over "what ifs" is a mistake, if you know that you can do something, you should just do it.

Probably 99% of people, maybe 100%, have some kind of fear of something. And most of us will let that same fear hinder our actions so that we never actually try anything different. It's not a difficult concept (at least, it doesn't have to be), stare directly into the face of what scares you and then just keep going anyway. This is just about as simple an explanation as you are going to get. If you want to make major breakthroughs in your life, you need to be able to work through the things that scare you--both personally as well as professionally.

Sure, you may be scared to death, but join the club - you're not special with being scared out of your wits. The only thing that makes you different is your ability to work through the things that scare you. If you can manage to do this once, you can be sure that you will be able to do it over and over again. One of the major problems with reading business sorts of information is that all of it makes a complete kind of sense.

And you may think, "I can do that," but things may break down when it's time to perform. The thing that you need to work on is the basics of mindset development so that you can actually use this information.

Personal Growth And Success Tips You Can Use Today

Helping yourself to become more dynamic and successful can be a little intimidating if you have never done it before. It can easily lead to a bad case of information overload because of all of the tools and resources available to you.

Here are some tips to assist you in getting all of this information organized to a point where you can start improving your life now.

Picking challenging goals is vital to successful personal development.

Stretching yourself is the only way to expand your limits. An overall goal should be one that is at least a little outside your grasp when you begin the journey towards it. Reaching for more than you think you can achieve will teach you how to do more.

Your self confidence during personal development periods will benefit from a harmonious relationship to your core self. If you're in tune with your mind, body, and soul, you'll find it easier to defend yourself against challenges to your core beliefs and values. This helps you strengthen the impact of your beliefs, and your confidence in them.

Going through a strength finder assessment is one of the best ways to get a grasp on how well you understand your strengths and areas of weakness.

This kind of assessment will provide you with your top five strengths, which you can then incorporate into your daily life and apply to both your personal and professional life.

Personal development is an intimate and challenging process.

To make the search for self-discovery easier, consider starting a journal detailing your goals. This can help you visualize your progress and determine optimal time lines for personal goals. You can also use this journal to detail obstacles and successes along the way - you may find your work is reaping more than you'd imagine.

Keeping a journal can be a key routine for personal development and can give you insights into your true thoughts and feelings. If you have ever felt that you don't know what you want out of life, keeping a journal can be the answer to discovering what it is that you really need to be a better you.

Make small gradual changes in your behavior. Quitting bad habits cold turkey works in some instances but in other situations smaller and more gradual changes more effectively achieve long-lasting change. Walking one block every day is better than running a half mile one time and giving up because it is too hard.

A great tip for people who suffer from depression is to try and keep up with your social life, even if sometimes, you really don't feel like it. Often times, being around a lot of people will make you feel more comfortable coming out of your shell and engaging with the rest of the world.

While the path to your personal development goals might be long, it need not be arduous. Keeping your eyes peeled for new personal development ideas is always a good idea. You may run into more handy tips like the ones in this article that can get you to your goals faster - or at least keep the journey to them from getting dull.

How to Use Affirmations to Attract More Abundance to Your Life

According to the Law of Attraction, we attract whatever we think about or give our attention to, regardless of whether the objects of our thoughts are desired or not. In other words, our relationship with the Universe is such that it brings to us the things that match exactly with our thoughts.

This means, if we give our attention to negative thoughts, then we will bring negativity into our lives, whilst positive thoughts are matched by receiving what we might see as the good things in life. It is the law of attraction that is expressed in the biblical saying whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" Galatians 6:6-8, and various other common statements such as "As you think, so you are" and "What goes round comes round."

Now, the law of attraction works through the subconscious mind. Because our subconscious mind is in tune with the Universe, it is through this that we attract the things that we think about. When a thought goes out from our mind, it passes through the subconscious to the Universe, which in turn responds by sending the originator of the thought the exact equivalent of that thought, somewhat akin to the "action equals reaction" law of physics, which states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

It follows therefore that in order to use the law of attraction to change our life, we have to find a way to influence the subconscious mind to put out to the universe more of the thoughts that will result in the things we want in life - and the most effect way of exercising influence over the subconscious mind is through the use of the technique of visualisation. There are in fact five components of visualisation that form a complete practice, one of which involves the use of affirmations.

The Role of Affirmations

As already alluded to above, the object of visualisation is to exercise influence over the subconscious mind in such a way as to cause it to give out the thoughts that will make the Universe respond by giving us the things we want. Visualisation therefore works by continually driving the right thoughts into our subconscious in order that that these may take priority over others when the mind does its job of processing the vast store information it receives on a daily basis. Affirmations are a great tool in this regard because they enable you to express your goals in the right language and help to keep your mind focused on the things you want rather than the lack of them.

However, it is important that your affirmations are worded in such a way as to make them believable. They must be believable because if you do not believe them then they will be ineffective.

In addition, affirmations should be worded in the present tense, not future tense. If the benefits you are seeking are seen as coming in some obscure future timeframe, you will not feel the emotional element in your affirmations, and this emotional element is very important because emotion is the language of the subconscious mind.

One good way to meet both of these requirements is to write your affirmations in such a way that they focus on the process rather than the end result. Instead of saying, "I have a lot of money," you could say, "My financial situation is getting better by the day." The latter is easier to believe than the former, especially if you do not yet have a lot of money.

Examples of Affirmations

The key to devising affirmations to increase your abundance is to:

1) focus on changing unsatisfactory circumstances and

2) affirm the perceived better circumstances. This involves making a list of the things you want to change in your life right now.

Regardless of whether it is to do with your financial situation, relationships, health, even your career, you should write a statement for each scenario and affirm that it is getting better.

The following is an example of the types affirmations you should use:

-

I effortlessly attract abundance wherever I go.

 - Every day my financial situation is improving.

 - I trust in my ability to bring forth better circumstances.

 - My inner guidance leads me to lucrative opportunities.

 - I have what it takes to create an amazing life.

 - I am eager to take advantage of the many opportunities that come my way.

 - I am grateful for the limitless abundance I have right in my life right now.

Once you have articulated you affirmations in the manner described, the biggest challenge is to then remember to say the affirmations daily. It often helps to write your affirmations on little cards or pads and post them where you will see them frequently.

Place them on your desk at work, in your car, and in other places where you will see them frequently. With enough repetition, it becomes easier to keep up with your affirmations and your abundance consciousness will grow to become a part of you.

Making The Most Of Your Time

Many business owners struggle with the concept of time. The conflict lies, more specifically, in the lack of available time. It is an all too familiar story: the business day starts and, before you know it, the time has gone and you haven't managed to complete half of the tasks on your 'to do' list.

This scenario is to blame for much work-related stress. The cause? Well, it really comes down to a lack of time control. Manage your time effectively and you will find that much of your work stress melts away.

Here are are five key tips to help you to make the most of your time.

Time Yourself

You know better than anyone how to tackle the key tasks in your own business. However, it is just as important to know how long each of these tasks takes to complete. The best way to find out is to time yourself actually doing the work. You should do this both for the work you do for your customers as well as the work you do within your own business.

For example, a business owner wants to publish blogs on a regular basis. How long should she allocate per week to this task? Well, the best way for her to know how much time writing, editing, finding an image, and publishing a blog will take is for her to time herself actually doing it.

Indeed, in order to get a truly accurate time picture, she should time herself doing this task on several occasions so that she can get an average and then allocate the necessary amount of time each week.

Don't Drift

In order to control your time, you have to be strict with yourself. Using the example above, the business owner could easily spend hours thinking about, researching and writing blog posts. However, this will not help her business to thrive. So, instead, she should set herself a tight time frame within which she can write and publish a high quality article. It is amazing how productive you can be when you have a looming deadline - it can really focus the mind!

Remove Distractions

In a similar vein to the point above, effective time management means removing distractions. Once you have set yourself time to complete a piece of work you should focus on that work.Try not to succumb to distractions such as Internet searches or email correspondence. These really are time black holes and can easily double the time you need to complete a task. If you can, turn off all devices that will bleep, ring and flash messages at you; they can and should wait their turn.

Time Boxing

The time boxing technique is particularly effective when you know how long tasks take to complete. At the beginning of the day, work out what jobs you need to complete and how long each task will take. Then look at how much time you have available and slot the tasks into the relevant time boxes. This can really help you to focus on the jobs that you want to complete.

It can also prevent you from taking too long on any one job and stop you from becoming distracted. In addition, time boxing also encourages you to be realistic regarding your 'to do' list. After all, if you have unrealistic expectations as to what work you can finish in any given day you just end up feeling stressed.

Allow A Contingency

When you allocate time boxes to your work, always allow a period of time for contingencies. As much as you don't want time to get away from you, you also don't want to become completely imprisoned by your time management technique!

If you follow the tips above you will discover that you can find more hours in the day. In addition to that, the hours that you do spend at work will be far less stressful.
